Ice skating is a festive, romantic experience that’s perfect for this time of year. Especially when combined with a trip to one of our local Christmas markets!
Sadly, there are no ice rinks in Bournemouth or Dorset all year round. The closest are in Gosport, Bristol, or Basingstoke. But there are always several temporary ones dotted around the country during the festive season.

The fantastic outdoor ice rink is coming back to the Lower Gardens in Bournemouth this year, tying in with the magical Christmas Tree Wonderland. Skate on real ice between Christmas trees under a web of fairy lights for a truly festive experience.
