Enjoy some wholesome Autumnal fun at these pick-your-own pumpkin patches in Dorset.
Whether you’re looking for the perfect pumpkin to carve for Halloween or a cosy Autumn Instagram photo, there are plenty of farms running PYO patches this year. Many are also hosting mini-festivals or special events!

Following the success of last year’s event, the popular Pumpkin Rolling returns this October half term, offering families the opportunity to enjoy a seasonal tradition in the picturesque grounds of the Abbey.
Participants roll their pumpkins down the gentle slope towards the Bottom Lawn, with the goal of seeing whose pumpkin travels the furthest. Once the rolling is complete, you are welcome to take your pumpkins home for Halloween carving or seasonal displays.

Update: sadly, the Pumpkin Patch did not run in 2024. The farm said that the inclement weather this year has meant that their pumpkins have not grown as well as usual. Hopefully, they’ll be back in 2025!

Pick your own pumpkins, take a ride on the Halloween Barrel Train, get stuck into the Nerf range, and enjoy some fun arts and crafts. There’s also a special Firework event on 1 November (booking essential) with live music, food & drink, and fireworks.
